This gathering is for everyone seeking community. whether you enjoy cooking, meeting new people, or simply sharing a meal, you're invited.

The Community Food Gathering is a place where you can immerse yourself in friendship-focused culinary culture, learn about ingredients, discover cooking secrets, and meet fascinating people, all in the cosy atmosphere of The Gallery Wine Boutique, Westport.
As always there will be a specially curated VINYL SOUNDTRACK to the evening with the addition of a creativity session at the end of the evening.
PLEASE NOTE any allergens that you may have in advance and note that this is a members only, community event so this group cannot guarantee serious allergens can be catered for.

Introduction & final prep
Each person will introduce their dish and the ingredients, what inspires them about food and what they wish they could change about our food system.

Eating and merriment
We will enjoy the food we have all prepared and play simple non-board games as we do, e.g. guess who I am, or cards against humanity!

After dinner creativity
Guests will be invited to recite a poem, read a few pages of their favourite book, sing a song or tell a story.
We aim to provide a balance of food types and styles and some months may carry a theme or guide for the style or type of food. We ask that all guests are respected as well as their food choices and food ethics. Thank you.
Eating together is about sharing, reconnecting, and reminding ourselves that sharing food is one of the oldest ways humans create bonds. The CFG brings that spirit to life by inviting people not just to share a meal, but to cook together, eat together, and clean up together—a full-circle experience of collaboration and connection.
This helps us create a balanced spread—and also sparks creativity within the group.
The event is FREE, but a suggested donation is welcome to help cover small but essential costs such as advertising, preparation, gas, cleaning, and electricity.
On the night, local beer and organic/natural wines will be available at members’ prices, making it easy to raise a glass to good company and the beginning of a beautiful new tradition.
